Social Media Fatigue

#usguyschat Monday 10/3/11 3PM EDT Noon PDT Co-moderaters @Ken_Rosen and @SMSJOE

Recently we talked about social media fatigue.  Seems like there are so many platforms and tools it is almost impossible to keep up.  Today’s post is about creating context for our chat rather than conveying information.
With the recent public release of Google Plus and the Facebook updates there is more buzz than ever about the tools. This week we want to talk about the implications of the constantly changing platforms and tools.
We want to use this chat time to facilitate a discussion so we can help each other learn about ways to improve our social media effectiveness.
We hope you will come ready to share your expertise and experiences so we can find out what works and what doesn’t.  Perhaps we will find out about new tools and techniques that will enable us to be more effective and engaging.
Here are the questions for the chat:
Q1. What is your Social Media engagement strategy?
Q2. What platforms (Twitter,FB,G+) do you use on a regular basis?
Q3. What are the implications of new platforms and updates?
Q4. What other tools do you use to build and sustain your network?
Q5. Are there resources (sites/groups etc.) you regularly use?
